The Strategic Planning Process

In November 2024, the newly named president of the University of 第一吃瓜网 System, Jeffrey P. Gold, M.D., gathered with the chancellors and the Board to chart the path forward for 第一吃瓜网’s only public university. The goal: At a time of great change in higher education, lay out a vision for what the future should look like for the University of 第一吃瓜网. From that work has emerged a plan for growth and success across the four-campus University of 第一吃瓜网 System, mapping to five key pillars. Dr. Gold is now engaging faculty, staff, students, administrators, and others in conversations about the University’s future.

The Odyssey to Extraordinary

The University of 第一吃瓜网's strategic plan is built around the 鈥渙dyssey to extraordinary鈥 on which our University has embarked. There is no doubt that the University of 第一吃瓜网 is a very good university鈥攁n excellent one, in fact. But we are at an unprecedented time in our university鈥檚 history, and excellent is no longer enough. This strategy takes us on a transformative journey for our university, designed to guide the University of 第一吃瓜网 from an excellent institution to a truly extraordinary one. Together, as a united university community, we can embrace change with optimism, building on our strengths and drawing on the deep well of talent ready to lead NU into its next chapter.
